These new editions are 1CD standalones containing only the Steven Wilson stereo mixes of each album. They're intended for collectors who just want the Wilson stereo mix by itself on a standard redbook CD, rather than as part of the more expansive anniversary editions of Aqualung (released in 2011) and Benefit (released in 2013).

What is a standard "redbook" cd?

The color of the cover of the book that contains the technical specifications for the
standard audio CD is red.

Right. That's what the term "redbook" came from. It just refers to a regular CD with 16-bit, 2-channel audio. The kind we're all familiar with and have thousands of.

So these new editions will be plain redbook CDs, as opposed to other, higher-resolution optical formats such as SACD, DVD-A or BDA. (The previous editions of both of these Tull albums included hi-res discs with surround mixes by Wilson.)
