I hope this collection includes the full albums uninterrupted by live and demo tracks. I'm pretty disappointed that the Polydor Years set was limited to vinyl. 5 CDs * 72 minutes = 360 minutes of music. The seven Rainbow studio albums (not counting the RCA issued Stranger In Us All) total 270 minutes. So they could easily fit all 7 studio albums on these 5 discs and have a 90 minutes left for live and demo material. Obviously Jealous Lover, Bad Girl and Weiss Heim should be considered necessary inclusions to this set.
The DVD sounds like a major disappointment. A career spanning set, and the DVD looks to be limited to one show with a singer who only sang on one Rainbow album? And wasn't that show only a 30 minute set? What about the 11 promo videos? Adding those would be a really selling point for this set. The video collection included in the Dio singles box was the tipping point that motivated me to buy that collection, and it turned out to be a real enjoyable watch.

I already have all the music videos, but it would be nice to have.
Also, why include all the studio albums? We have them all already. I don't need the albums unless they get a separate issue, and even there I'm good with the new Deluxes and 1999 remasters. If there was a release of the Polydor years box I'd get that too only for new remastering but the old ones still sound good.
I can't wait for this and the booklet and packaging look fantastic.
If the content proves to be weak, I will say so trust me.
And Donnington was a complete show, far from 30 minutes...
Donnington set list:
Over The Rainbow intro Eyes of the World Love's No Friend Since You Been Gone Stargazer Man on the Silver Mountain Catch the Rainbow Lost in Hollywood Guitar Solo Keyboard Solo Drum Solo Over the Top (followed by "Lost In Hollywood" reprise) Encore: Lazy All Night Long Blues Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow? Long Live Rock 'n' Roll Kill the King

Very underwhelming track list to say the least. Looks like a big percentage of the live tracks and rough mixes have already seen official release. There are really only two things on here that interest me: the Purple Haze/White Christmas/Lazy part of the medley that ends disc one (I'm assuming the back half of that medley is from On Stage) and the Daisley rehersal recording of Still I'm Sad on disc two. Maybe for huge Bonnet fans this would be worth it for the KBFH stuff on disc three and the DVD.
It's hard to believe that is the best they could do with the DVD.

And why is the DVD not at least equitable to what IP had posted? If anything, it should include all + bonus.
Rick A.
Sadly, that is all they have of the concert from Donnington.
I don't know if there even are tapes of the full show.
But, why not the audio of the whole thing at least?
I am surprised the box includes rehash of the bonus cuts from the Deluxe remasters.
I will still get this but it's on the backburner.
I'm also thinking the sound quality on the Daisley stuff will be poor.
There are so many FM radio concerts they could've used in full, but we only get samplings.
I don't think it's a disaster by any means, but it is disappointing. Fact is, they have little in the vaults left to choose from which is why they abandoned the Deluxe remasters.
