Description
GREGG ALLMAN’S main contribution to rock music is of course lead singer, organist, and songwriter with THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND, founded by his late brother DUANE in 1969. He has found success and popularity through his solo work, which is distinctively different and more soulful than the band's. This collection spans his solo career recording for Sony from the early eighties onwards.

Tracklist
1. I'm No Angel
2. Island
3. Melissa
4. Faces Without Names
5. Evidence of Love
6. Demons

9. Before the Bullets Fly
10. The Dark End of the Street
11. Slip Away
12. I've Got News for You
13. Brother to Brother

This is far from the 'best of'

Missing several key songs from the 1970s solo album such as Queen Of Hearts and Midnight Rider

The new reissue from Retroworld UK has now been pushed back to July 29th.

The original American pressing being discussed above by Renny and Dan was reissued by Sony Special Products as a budget title in 2008, and that version is actually still in print, making it the cheapest way to acquire this collection:

It was the first (and maybe only) comprehensive multi-label single CD covering his solo career. Great sound and detailed booklet. As far as the songs, nothing really unique other than "Two Steps from the Blues", a duet with Bonnie Bramlett from her album Lady's Choice.
