The Mod revival of the late '70s and early '80s spawned a number of acts who enjoyed mainstream success, foremost among them Lewes' pop rockers The Lambrettas. Signed to Elton John's Rocket Records, the band had three UK charting singles including their no.7 cover of the Leiber and Stoller classic 'Poison Ivy'.

This compilation includes both of their studio albums, as well as non-LP studio and live tracks.

There was another Lambrettas anthology a few years back which suffered from second-rate cover art and a somewhat dull sound. Since this new collection is on Salvo, I expect the remastering to be good, and repurposing the cover art from the group's debut album is a wise choice.
