The concert interests me. Isn't this the album that originally came out on the Smithsonian label? If so, it's the only one I've heard (& I've heard most of them) that I don't particularly like.

no, it was originally released on rough trade records, then reissued on koch with the 6 bonus tracks.
her first 2 albums were on the smithsonian label, and then there was a 7 or 8 year gap until this one came out.
IMHO lucinda is the best singer/songwriter in america today. there is nobody like her.

I picked mine up on Friday and I love this release. Her singing is quite as world weary as it would become (which isn't necessarily a bad thing), and her writing is spot on. The live show is terrific too.
