I wasn't that thrilled with Live Bites, either. Any idea of the 2 respective time frames (meaning the live disc here & Live Bites)?
This bonus disc is from the 1990-91 tour I believe and Live Bites was from 1995 and I think from the 1993-94 tour. Of course, we'd all like Deluxes of other Scorps albums! I never liked this one much because it's so overtly commercial.
With the box set on the way I doubt too many Deluxes would be in the future, but I'd be up for any of 'em. Is everyone pleased with those Hip-O/Universal remasters (was that the label)? They picked some oddball albums but they're really cheap now and I want the Taken By Force and Tokyo Tapes..

The release of deluxe reissue of The Scorpions 1990 album, “Crazy World”, has been delayed to October 7.
The two-disc set will feature the original album plus a disc of 12 live tracks from their Live Crazy world tour, along with the album’s four promotional videos.
The band’s 11th studio album, "Crazy World" featured the international hit, “Wind Of Change.”
On January 24, 2010, after 45 years of performing, The Scorpions announced that they would be retiring after touring in support of their new album at the time, “Sting In The Tail”, although this decision was eventually retracted and the band will continue.
Up next, The Scorpions will record an MTV Unplugged concert special in Athens, Greece this fall for release at the end of the year.
The German rockers will perform three shows under the open skies at the Lycabettus Theatre in Athens – set for September 11, 12, and 14 – playing their biggest hits, album classics and some exclusive new songs.
“MTV Unplugged - Scorpions Live In Athens: will be released at the end of 2013 on CD, DVD and Blu-ray disc. MTV will world premiere the event, while the shows will be broadcast for free in Germany by VIVA.

Any idea if the tour cd is worth bothering with? Crazy World was the first Scorpions album I didn't particularly like; & I'm also not fond of Live Bites.

I remember recording a show off the radio from this tour. If it's that one, the show was dynamite (no pun intended).
Let's face it, even if an album wasn't great-this was one band that almost always delivered the good live. I saw them last summer and they were fantastic. One of the best live acts I've seen throughout the years hands down. They work so hard on stage.
I think I will get this at some point as I never owned Crazy World.
A Deluxe Blackout would be really nice.

I would be all over a deluxe Blackout!
As far as live, here's how I became a fan:
I was visiting a girl in Spokane & the Scorps were playing & she wanted to go. What actually caught my attention (& admiration) was the absolute perfection of the back up vocals by a metal band in a huge arena.
Today I understand that those vocals we're probably pre-recorded, but I'm still a big fan anyway!
