My favorite XTC album, but this is overkill. The original CD sounds fantastic already. The bonus track appeared on the box set Coat of Many Cupboards.

Isn't is just insane that Steven Wilson is producing all these 5.1 mixes while still continuing his musical career (he only put out one of the best albums of the year) and toured with an all-star band.

I agree. I think this is aimed directly at the 5.1 crowd and not me.

Is the album even remastered? I know Wilson did the mix, but is this even remastered by anyone or is it just the same album? Why are they acting like it sounded bad in 1992? It sounded great.

I love this band but see no reason to buy this. If I loved surround sound then maybe.

This release is far from overkill. The CD is a complete stereo remix by Steve Wilson of an album that XTC was never really happy with the original mix. The liner notes of this release tell the story. In regard to the CD/Bluray version, IMHO it is the Gold Standard as far as 5.1 mixes go. Reference quality. The disc you play for guests to show off your system. Superb.

Just got mine in and can't wait to try it out. What a year for surround and hi-rez fans.
