Regular Dreamsville citizens will know that I flagged this one up a while ago. I've written some sleeve notes for the package and recently approved the artwork. The really special thing about it is disc 4 which will be a DVD of all Be Bop's 'Whistle Test' appearances plus the much sought after 'Sight and Sound In Concert' tv show. Whilst bootlegs of these tv appearances have been circulating for some years, their picture and sound quality has been extremely poor. This new official release contains digitally restored videos sourced directly from the BBC masters so I think you will be very pleased with the quality."

Really disappointed that the DVD doesn't have a version of Modern Music. My bootleg has a good one from
Don Kirschner's Rock Concert. What happened? Couldn't get the release from them?

The Don Kirschner stuff is rarer than hen's teeth, and even harder to get the rights to. There was talk a few years ago of Don himself releasing some dvds, but it never happened.

Just heard their BBC Live 1976 taping on XM Radio's Deep Tracks last week and here is a band that made interesting music but just never hit the big time. So yes, I am ordering this set.

You won't be disappointed John. Bill Nelson is one special musician and song writer.

Like an idiot, I forgot completely about it until right before release, at which point the pre-order price had increased by nearly 5 pounds.

Yes the DVD is NTSC Region 0. And it sounds fine.

My copy just arrived today from AmazWAN UK. The price eventually dropped back down somewhat, so I ordered it (roughly $27 US shipped) and received it just over a week later!

Can't wait to dig in.
