I barely remember this CBGB act myself, and only then because they appeared on the 2 X 5 punk/underground compilation LP along with the Fleshtones and the Bloodless Pharaohs (who had a pre-Stray Cats Brian Setzer on guitar). This CD racks up their entire recorded output, including both sides of their debut single on Ork Records, produced by Blondie's Jimmy Destri.

Definitely getting this. I saw The Student Teachers more than once back in the day. They were a good band, but couldn't quite decide whether they wanted to run with the art school crowd or the pop crowd.
The studio version of "Channel 13" used to be played on local college radio a lot. Here's a live performance of the song at Hurrah in 1981 (and I'm probably in the audience):
