We like to mix it up in Jersey and The Grip Weeds are a great example. A touch of John Lennon (and an appropriation of his character's name in ''How I Won The War''), a bit of The Byrds, a dash of The Kinks, pinch of The Who, and a dollop of more muscular Zombies and you get something quite original actually. The Grip Weeds took a Summer break from recording their new album for a trip through the past– a trawl through the House Of Vibes Tape Archives that yielded so much material of good quality Ground Up Records decided to compile a new full-length collection entitled Inner Grooves (Rare and Under-Released Tracks), which is slated for a November 12th release on CD and digital download formats. The 11-track album features remixed versions of singles, B-sides and songs from compilations that appeared in the US and Europe over the last two decades, along with unreleased outtakes and demos, some of which saw only limited release as bonus tracks via The Grip Weeds Online Store or enhanced CD weblinks.
