24 track 2 disc set from Mercury / Universal.

Appears to feature the Mercury era early versions of songs that Rhino first released on "Sessions" in 2009, plus a few b'sides etc.

It will be interesting to see how this does given how badly Sessions sold..

It's look very interesting but is it simply a subset of Image?

Need to my homework first.

I'd be interested in 1971-74 or so rarities.

I brought this, played it once. Its not that good. The outtakes don't excite me unfortunately .

Same here, I played it a couple times to TRY to get into it but didn't do it for me. I was surprised of this outcome.

US: entered at #7 but out of Top 100 7-8 weeks later, so not great.

However in the UK it entered at #1 and so far has 11 consecutive weeks in the Top 5, including 4 at #2.
UK Sales will hit 300k (platinum) in the next couple of weeks I reckon, so a major hit over there.

He is touring US soon and will be releasing a new single there so things may pick up, although it's hard to resurrect once the album has bombed first time around.

I'd consider picking this up for $10 or less, no way in heck for $20.

Because Rarities seems to re-treads familiar ground with at least a third of the tracks previously released on the 2009 Sessions four-CD box set.
