Does anyone own any of Leon Russell's back catalogue on the Right Stuff CD label, which reissued his CD's back in 1995 and 1996? I'm curious as to how the sound quality and packaging are? Are these well done re-issues? Thanks.

The reissues sounded pretty good, I beleive Leon was involved with them. Depending if he still has them in stock or not, you can order them directly from Leon's web-site.

I've got a bunch of 'em

Asylum Choir II
Leon Russell and The Shelter People
Leon Russel
Carney
Live
Hank Wilson's back.

I think they all sound good given that these re-issues are about 10 years old now (I think). Packaging on Right Stuff product could always be better. I'm pretty sure all of the above are still in print and can be found at CD Universe or Amazon.

DCC/Shelter reissued a bunch of Russell's CDs prior to the Right Stuff versions, all remastered by Steve Hoffman. Did Right Stuff retain the Hoffman masters?

Supposedly, Right Stuff does use the Hoffman remasters. But I recall someone at SH.tv claiming that Leon Live does not (...and maybe another title...?). I believe the original Shelter version of Leon Live was, but the later Right Stuff version was changed. I can't recall the details, but I could be wrong.
I don't have the Live title on CD, but I do have the earlier ones and they sound great!
The DCC gold title of Leon Russell is especially worth having, with four or five exclusive unreleased tracks.
