I didn't start liking their stuff until the third album.

For me is when John Schlitt, former lead singer of "Head East" joined. My two faves are "Back to the Street" from 1986 and "Beyond Belief" from 1990. Man, I wish we can see some remasters on these two.

I grew up with the Schllitt material first, but discovered the Greg X. Volz material in late high school / college and instantly liked the classic rock feel and the sound of his voice better. Beyond Belief's production is just too slick, too CCM.

But it's definitely better than, you know, what came later. They made some baaaaad albums. I think "No Doubt" is the worst.
