To Another Horizon Description Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the release of a newly re-mastered edition of “To Another Horizon”, the classic 1983 album by Austrian composer and multi-instrumentalist GANDALF (the pseudonym of Hans Strobl). A true visionary, Gandalf enjoyed major European success with his unique style of instrumental Progressive and Ambient music, which has been compared with great multi-instrumentalists such as Mike Oldfield or Vangelis. “To Another Horizon” was recorded in 1982 and released early the following year. It was an album that took both environmental and political concerns of the era as the inspiration behind the concept of the work. Unavailable for some years, “To Another Horizon” has been re-mastered for the first time from the original source masters. The booklet of this new edition features an exclusive new interview with Gandalf and fully restores the original album artwork.Tracklist 1. March Of No Reason (Including “The Falling Star”) 2. Natural Forces Getting Out Of Control (Including “Wind, Rain, Thunder & Fire”) 3. Requiem For A Planet 4. Flight Of The Crystal Ships 5. To Another Horizon – The Divine Message 6. A true visionary, Gandalf enjoyed major European success with his unique style of instrumental Progressive and Ambient music, which has been compared with great multi-instrumentalists such as Mike Oldfield or Vangelis. “Magic Theatre” was recorded and released in 1983 and followed on from Gandalf’s successful album “To Another Horizon”. “The album “Magic Theatre” was inspired by the novel “Steppenwolf” by Herman Hesse” Gandalf would explain. “In the Magic Theatre of Hermann Hesse’s story there is a corridor with several doors, each leading into different chambers of our subconscious, which is why each track on the album is portrayed as representing a different door.” Regarded by fans as one of his finest albums, “Magic Theatre” has been un-available for some years. This Esoteric Recordings edition has been re-mastered for the first time from the original source masters. The booklet of this new edition features an exclusive new interview with Gandalf and fully restores the original album artwork.Tracklist 1. Entrance / The Corridor Of The Seven Doors 2. 1st Door / Reflections From Childhood 3. 2nd Door / Castles Of Sand 4. 3rd Door / Loss Of Identity In The Labyrinth Of Delusions 5. 4th Door Magic Mirror 6. 5th Door / Beyond The Wall Of Ignorance 7. 6th Door / Peace Of Mind 8. 7th Door / The Fountain Of Real Joy 9.
