I've mentioned before in various posts that my business Dandylion Records has been offering almost the entire very hard to find catalog from Canadian Singer-Songwriter Shari Ulrich in various forms (CD, LP, CDR, & even cassette) as available.

Until very recently, her 2 Hometown Band albums had never been released on cd, & we were the exclusive world wide source for authorized cdr's of those 2 titles (I even did the mastering!)

Shari has finally released them as official cd's. AFAIK, the only authorized USA dealers are us & CD Baby. They are truly great albums, especially Flying. They were supposed to sell for $14.99, but as there was a pricing error on CD Baby, Shari told me to price match them at $12.99 + s/h (USA: $3.25 1 cd, $4 up to 1 pound, than $1 each additional pound. Vinyl starts at the $4 rate). Also, ours are autographed & our shipping rate is lower than CD Baby's



Originally formed by former Chilliwack sax & keyboard player Claire Lawrence as a backing band
for Canadian folk singer Valdy, the Hometown Band with Shari Ulrich released 2 fine albums in a
jazz, funk style which have never before been issued on cd. Their superb debut features Shari's
beloved title track, the great instrumental Spread 'em All Around, & Into The Night, which I've always
said I would want played at my wedding if I ever got married.






Their second & final release from 1977 with Sweet Emma, Let The
Music Play & more. More funk & less jazz then Flying.

We also have her entire catalog available, with the temporary exception of UHF 1. We also are the only authorized source for cdr's of her 1st 3 solo albums, which have never been issued on cd worldwide, to the best of Shari's knowledge.

I highly recommend anything in her catalog; I got into selling these titles because i am a huge fan.

This is good news

Have been looking for decent vinyl copies of the two Hometown Band albums for awhile. Now I can stop looking and buy the CDs.

Recently found a sealed copy of Every Road so maybe it's time to fill in the blanks with her solo material too.

I don't think there was ever a decent pressing of Flying. Everyone I've had had surface noise problems, & Shari told me years ago that was her experience also. I did the best I could on the cdr's, but I'm also thrilled to finally have real cd's (the bad news for me is she was low on stock so I haven't been able to keep a set for myself yet!).

Bump: Per Shari, the $12.99 pricing on the HTB's is going to be ending very soon (possibly later today) both from me & CD Baby. Remember, only ours are autographed. I have 1 Flying & 3 HTB's left; though more are coming at the higher price of $14.99. Basically our $12.99 pricing will remain until CD Baby raises there's; which should happen very soon.

I just got in the recent Pied Pear "2011 Collector's" CD which combines their previously hard to find 3rd & 4th albums on 1 cd. It is pricy (I don't set the prices) at $20. I also got Shari's UHF #1 back in stock, & now have every item released during Shari's career in stock in 1 format or another (CD, LP, cdr &/or cassette tape).

We have had to raise the Shari cd's up to $14.99 (as I mention above I was given permission to match a pricing error by CD Baby that has since been corrected), but so has CD Baby. Most of ours are autographed, while there's are not; & I believe my shipping is also lower than CD Baby.
