Looks cool, also screams useless. The remasters were all great and the bonus tracks are largely absent here except on some EPs here.
The Stone Deaf Forever box set rules and covers their whole career through 2002, and they are still putting out amazing albums. Who would buy this???

Just looking at the track list me me feel old as I remember them all when I could headbang with the best of them!
To me it depends on the set price.
If this can be got cheaper than a complete set of remasters then it could be a great one stop ship especially if the packaging would be something like the Kinks mono set but otherwise I'd agree Invisible Pedestrian's comment.

Was thinking I would buy it when I first saw it. I have zero Motorhead in my collection and have been considering taking the plunge for years now.

Then I saw the price and I'm out. Cheapest price I've seen is at hmv.com and they have it at 256.99 GBP. Assuming you can subtract the VAT from that then add in shipping I would guess it would cost an American customer at least $340. That's just way too much for what appears to be 6 studio albums, 7 singles/EPs and 2 live albums. Great looking box though.

I had all the albums , replaced them with cd's , replaced them with the original remasters and replaced them with the new remasters and DE's . I have the boxset a few comps and all their cd's . It looks nice but there is nothing unreleased here . I will not spend that kind of money for a box . I love Motorhead but enough is enough .

I don't know how big of a fan you are of Motorhead .But you can't go wrong with the Stone Deaf Forever box . It's about $70 on Amazon . If you don't wanna go for that , there is an excellent 2 cd "Best Of Motorhead" that covers them up to about 1999 (up to the We Are Motorhead cd) you can get for about $15 to $20 .

Another overpriced and essentially useless set for anyone with a decent MOTORHEAD collection. Its Box O' Snakes part II - without the DVD and unreleased live stuff and even more expensive.

Even Lemmy doesn't want you to buy it....

Lemmy Kilmister Urges Motorhead Fans Not To Buy Band’s New Retrospective Collection
by: Chris M. Junior

Packaged in a skull with eyes that light up in red, the new 15-disc Motorhead collection certainly grabs your attention. So does the retail price — and that has prompted frontman Lemmy Kilmister to urge his fans to steer clear of the ‘Complete Early Years Box Set,’ now in stores.

“Unfortunately, greed once again rears its yapping head,” Kilmister said in reference to the sticker price, which is in the $600 range. “I would advise against it, even for the most rabid completists!”

The band members further distanced themselves from the project by releasing a statement that said Motorhead had “no control over what’s done with these early songs,” adding they “don’t want fans to think that the band is involved in putting out such a costly box set.”

Is this actually out yet? Amazon UK is now showing this as having been pushed back all the way to October 1st. I'm wondering if Sanctuary plan to reconfigure this set and adjust the price.

They need to in order to shift volumes I feel.
Just keep the thing simple: 15 cds in mini lp style jackets, an introductory book with stories, pictures and facts and a box to keep the lot in. Should be possible to do it for under £100.
