Ms. Linda, Can you provide some insight into these 2-fers? The links for US and UK Amazon seem to indicate most of these (except for Boogie Brothers/Wire Fire) have been out since 2006. Your dates in each 2-fer seem to verify that these aren't new - is the 11-17-2008 just for the last 2-fer Boogie Brothers/Wire Fire? If we get the 2006 versions are these the remastered versions, or are they forthcoming with the last title? BTW, I already have most of these as singles from Deram many years ago - Raw Sienna and Lookin In have been out on Deram before (1990). Wow that's 18 years ago. Now I DO feel old..... Thanks.

The Beat Goes On label (BGO) has been slowly working their way through the Savoy Brown catalogue since 2005, with the latest two-fer being [lilred]Boogie Brothers/Wire Fire[/lilred] which is coming out in the UK on December 1, 2008. The release dates of each two-fer are noted in each post above. All of the titles are remastered by BGO, who usually do very nice work, so they probably sound better than the old Deram CDs you have. (Although I can't say definitely since I don't own those.)

I recently picked up Street Corner Talking/Hellbound Train remaster from BGO and was wondering about the track, Hellbound Train, it seems to end very suddenly and I was wondering if that was how it was to begin with or is it the remaster. This was my first foray into the Savoy Brown catalog...good stuff.

Jack The Toad Amazon USA:http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000KLO6RM/?tag=imwan-20Amazon UK:http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000KLO6RM/?tag=imwan-21These have been htf in the USA for many years & are both good imo. I bought the UK Dorsey Looking In/Lion's Share before the BGO's came out (& have the rare USA Jack The Toad stand alone) so haven't heard the BGO's For those new to SB, imo Lookin' In is by far their best, & the song I'm Tired from A Step Further was their only USA hit that I'm aware of. The lineup tends to change almost every album, with Kim Simmonds being the one constant. The last one I liked was Lion's Share, I prefer the earlier stuff. For new fans, while not cheap the 2 cd "collection" is a good place to start http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000001FXB/?tag=imwan-20along with Lookin' In, which is quite cheap. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000001FX1/?tag=imwan-20
