Anyone have any idea if this is legit? Definitely from an obscure era and rather cool to have a live document. But what is the source and what will the quality be?

This was issued as disc 2 of the Madison Blues box, issued by Shakedown(?) records a few years ago. Disc 1 included some studio tracks and other live performances, and the box also includes a DVD disc with a Jeremy Spencer interview. The live stuff is not the best you'll ever hear, but it's good most of the way through.
Spencer rips up "Preachin Blues" and "Dust My Broom". Kirwan is a little more laid back than usual.I wish there was more from this line-up.

Try for the box . The Spencer interview alone is worth the difference.

I have Crazy About the Blues, which has similar cover art, only blue. Mostly studio tracks. Is that disc #1 from the box?

Looks legit, nicely done, but I can't tell for sure.

I just checked Amazon, and Crazy About the Blues is indeed Disc 1 from the box.
I also noticed that the 3 disc Madison Blues is available, and for not much more than the single sets.
I have no idea either if it's legit, but the box has a nice little 4 or 5 page spread with liner notes and photos.

No Peter Green. This is the Kiln House lineup, plus Christine. I know she played on the album, but I don't think she was an "official" member yet.
