The music is brittle and deeply indebted to AC/DC’s uncompromising raucous boogie but the twist in the tale is Angel City’s lyrical component. Front man Doc Neeson’s hypnotic story telling formed the backbone of a style that catches the imagination. ‘Face To Face’ remains one of the greatest and most enduring albums of the eighties.

This kicks ass! These guys were/are legendary Australian rockers of the highest degree. This 1978 album kills. Don't know if this will be the US or International track listing. Man, I hope Rock Candy do more of their albums.

I love the album right after this, Darkroom & especially the song No Secrets from that album.

The cover art looks like the American re-release of the album in 1980, not the original. Also, the band name "Angel City" instead of "Angels" indicates that it's likely the US version.

Great album! There were differences between the Australian and USA releases on that one, too.

And their next album, 1981's "Night Attack", was a fantastic album as well. I was fortunate enough a few years ago to pick up a copy of The Complete Sessions 1980 - 1983, a CD box set containing remasters of the albums Dark Room (9 bonus tracks), Night Attack (9 bonus tracks), and Watch The Red (5 bonus tracks).
