Cameron Crowe wrote: The soundtrack will have quite a few rarities and some demos from a few different eras in the band’s history. Kevin Shuss (and Josh Taft) deserve a lot of credit for that – Kevin in particular was filming the band as it was all starting to break wide open. He’s still filming them. Chris Perkel, Kevin Klauber and Adi Cabigting, our editors on PJ20, have been deep in the cave curating this visually and sonically, along with Andy Fischer (Vinyl Films) of course, for what has been literally years. It’s been our passion project for a long time. The crew all deserve a big thanks. You’ll be able to hopefully, between the movie and the soundtrack, really feel the band from the inside out. It’s one of the gifts of having met them so early in their careers. They gave me a lot of cassettes and work tapes, and I kept everything. It’s been a little bit like homework for them, I know, to go back over all the artifacts… but like Neil Young, they’re able to be objective and look at their own stuff the way a fan would. Which is one of the themes of the movie – a band made up of fans, kept alive by fans, and now their concerts are a celebration of that fact. Everybody made it, together…

True. Sounds like this is going to be earlier stuff. I'd love a clear live version of Mother Love Bone doing Chloe.

For what it's worth, my wife is a huge Pearl Jam fan--she's loving everything that has come out in the past couple of years. She even loved Vedder's ukelele album that came out a couple of months ago. I'm not quite as big of a Pearl jam fan, but her genuine enjoyment of their music is infectious.

Just what the world needs, more live Pearl Jam. While I do like the band, I would be willing to bet $'s that they have more official live albums than any other artist of the rock era. I THINK the Grateful Dead would be the closest runner ups, with the Jeffersons, King Crimson & The Who fighting it out for 3rd place.
Although with the new 70+ disc Europe 72 box, the Dead may have tied PJ.
