Last Wednesday I picked up Tull's TAAB2 (expecting big things) and Cash's Bootleg IV (not expecting much - less when I saw it was all gospel type material.
Well I was let down big time by Tull - This week being "holy week" i said I'll try the Cash one to and from work. To my surprise it is EXCELLENT. It contains two lps that never made it to CD and another that never made it to lp. The SQ is excellent (unlike some of the bootleg series) - some of the tunes really rock - I mean not country but R n R. I was going to bypass the rest of the bootleg series but now I can't wait for the next one.
I might not play this week after week but there is nothing I do that to. It's JC doing the material that he loves the most. A very pleasent surprise. Also moderately priced.
This release is A-OK!
