ROGER WATERS - Eight Disc Box Set To Be Released April 4th; Now Available For Pre-Order


The PINK FLOYD news site, Brain Damage, has released details on the forthcoming ROGER WATERS release, Roger Waters - The Album Collection. It will be out on April 4th to coincide with the European leg of The Wall Live tour.

"A limited edition (available during the tour) 8-disc box set, with a lift-off lid, it is a collection of his studio and live albums housed in mini-LP replica wallets, and sitting alongside a 16-page booklet.

The collection - released by Sony Music - consists of Pros & Cons, Radio KAOS, Amused To Death, In The Flesh Live (2CD & 1DVD), and Ca Ira (2CD). So, there is NO new music included, but for those who are lacking Roger's solo work, it is priced very reasonably so a good opportunity for those who want to bolster their collection.

OK, my question-are these remastered? They could use it but they still sound good. I hate Pros And Cons and have no use for the Opera, but I like Radio KAOS and Amused To Death and the live album is great.
Of course, there are bonus tracks that should be on these and I'd assume they are not.
I'm sure I'll end up passing on this, but if they are remastered (I doubt it), I'd consider it.
I am surprised at how reasonable the price is, making me think all the more no remastering was involved.

Even more importantly, will the cover to Pros & Cons be uncensored..?

Columbia Records and Legacy Recordings proudly announce the release of The Roger Waters Collection, the official live and studio works of Roger Waters, available on May 30th, 2011 in a deluxe box set.

The Roger Waters Collection includes his solo works The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking, Radio K.A.O.S., Amused To Death and his Opera, Ça Ira, plus a 2 CD/DVD edition of In The Flesh - LIVE, recorded and filmed on Waters' three-year "In The Flesh" tour.

The Roger Waters Collection includes seven CDs and one DVD in a special edition box, each album packaged in a mini-LP replica sleeve with original artwork and masters.

In addition to The Roger Waters Collection, Columbia/Legacy will also reissue on May 30th, 2011 for a limited 12 month period, the rare Flickering Flame, a compilation from 2002.
