I just learned that this was available for pre-order a couple of months ago as a limited-edition run of 1,000 copies. That run has already sold out, and those who ordered the limited edition will receive a 17th disc of unspecified bonus material. The one offered on Amazon is a second edition, apparently with no bonus disc.

As far as content goes, the box is supposed to contain expanded editions of Elfman's 13 original Tim Burton film scores:
Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure (1985)
Beetlejuice (1988)
Batman (1989)
Edward Scissorhands (1990)
Batman Returns (1992)
The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
Mars Attacks! (1986)
Sleepy Hollow (1999)
Planet Of The Apes (2001)
Big Fish (2003)
Charlie And The Chocolate Factory (2005)
Corpse Bride (2005)
Alice In Wonderland (2010)
plus music from other Elfman/Burton collaborations, such as "Alfred Hitchcock Presents: The Jar," "Amazing Stories: Family Dog," "Beetlejuice: The Animated Series," etc., and an unused score to the Edward Scissorhands Ballet.
Since I've already missed the limited-edition version, I'll probably wait until the price comes down before ordering...$500 seems a bit steep, especially for a second run.
