here's what I found on this
From Memphis to Hollywood, a collection of rare recordings from Johnny Cash's early career, will be released as a double album on Feb. 22 by Columbia/Legacy. The first album covers Cash's career in Memphis from late 1954 to late 1957, beginning with a Memphis radio broadcast hosted by Cash, as well as a dozen demos (11 previously unreleased) and seven outtakes from Sun Records. The second disc gathers Cash's non-album singles, outtakes and B-sides he recorded for Columbia from 1958 to 1969, following his move to Los Angeles to pursue TV and film work as a songwriter and actor.

Rhino On February 26, 2010, Johnny Cash fans posted pictures of themselves wearing black on what would have been the legendary singer's 78th birthday -- also marking the day his final studio album, 'American VI: Ain't No Grave' was released. One year later, on February 22, 2011, fans can celebrate again when Columbia/Legacy releases, 'Bootlegs 2: From Memphis to Hollywood.'
A collection of rare, never-before-heard recordings, according to That Nashville Sound, the double-disc spans the music icon's earliest days as a recording artist to his later years in L.A., when he began pursuing TV and film work as a songwriter and actor.
The first disc covers the iconic entertainer's early years in Memphis, between 1954 and 1957 -- beginning with a Memphis radio broadcast hosted by Johnny. It also includes a dozen demos, 11 of which have never been released, and seven outtakes from Sun Records. The second disc is a collection of non-album B-sides and outtakes recorded by the music icon between 1958 and 1969, following his move to the West Coast.
Also in February, seven years after his death, Johnny will be up for a Grammy Award in the category of Best Short Form Music Video for the groundbreaking piece, 'Ain't No Grave'/The Johnny Cash Project.' A video for the title track of the album was culled from a continually evolving project, created frame-by-frame by tens of thousands of fans around the world as a testament to the life and career of the Man in Black.

I can not figure that one out either - perhaps the 2 refers to 2 discs? I agree - the title is strange.

"Bootleg 1" would probably be the 2006 Sony/Legacy 2-CD release entitled "Personal File."

It's nice to see a Cash release that isn't another greatest hits compilation. At the same time, it's weird to see them compile non-album b-sides when a significant portion of his original albums have never been released on standalone CDs. I wish they'd put out more catalog reissues.

Hell yeah! It's criminal that isn't available on CD (outside of being part of an expensive Bear Family box). The Johnny Cash Sound also needs to be reissued.
