Is this just a reissue or an actual remastered issue? It's cheap, so I doubt it's anything worthwhile.

All Edsel releases are cheap, Pete. They're all newly remastered as well. Usually they expand the albums too, but there are no bonus tracks on this one.

I know Renny's thinking it, so I'll say it: Too bad they couldn't have done Rock Love or Recall The Beginning instead. Reissues of already-available CDs always frustrate me when other catalog titles by the artist remain completely unreleased.

Miller only owns the albums from "Fly Like an Eagle" omwards, so those album are the only ones that he can license out. He'll always keep some of the later albums on Capitol in the U.S.A., to intimidate any EMI affiliate from ever offering "Rock Love" or "Recall The Beginning" on CD, even though Capitol owns those two albums. Capitol COULD offer those two albums on CD, but Miller could retaliate by taking "Fly Like an Eagle", "Book of Dreams" & "Greatest Hits" off Capitol in the U.S.A.

Well, all of the albums are available on iTunes, and most are fairly cheep. I picked up all the OOP albums (including Rock Love, RTB, Circle, etc.) and they all sound really good. It's better than nothing...

Is that true for Western Europe too as I'm not quite sure who for the UK and Europe currently owns the rights for albums from Fly Like An Eagle onward?
