And, for Queen collectors who just can't wait until November for the American releases, the third round of 2-CD Deluxe Editions are already out in the UK:

Red?

I was kinda thinking Gold, Silver, or Royal Blue.

Yeah, I was one who couldn't wait. Playing "The Miracle" as I write this, unbelieveable soundstage remastered sound. I thought my Center channel was on, that how's good the mix is!

It didn't escape me that Amazon lowered this box to $67 right AFTER it was released. They can kiss my ass. I will not be so foolish next time and I won't pre-order this set.

Whomever said that The Game is too loud is crazy, this album sounds great. Quite honestly, these Queen remasters are some of the best remasters out there. Excellent job.

Maybe you should be foolish this time, Pete -- the pre-order price for Volume 3 has dropped to $65.03:

There are 30 CD boxed sets (15 cds + 15 eps) of Queen up for auction on Ebay. One just went for about $130.00, which is a great price.

However....all of the auctions that I see are in China.

I won't buy any multi-disc sets from China after what happened with the Beatles boxes.

But I would buy one from a U.S. or U.K. vendor.....but I don't know if the 30 cd box is a real product, or something cooked up by the Chinese pirates.

My understanding is that there are 5-cd boxes available, and that the first box came with an oversized slip case with room to add the later second and third 5-cd sets. Is that correct?

Is there a legitimate release of all 30 cds in a single slipcase?

Flat out lock that those sets from China are counterfeits.

In the Europe the first set did come with a box to hold all 15 releases, I have one and it appears to be identical to boxes in the photographs in the ebay listings. But to my knowledge the only market where this box was available was in Europe and those discs came in super jewel cases. All the ebay listings appear to have standard jewel cases, and in some of the listings (not all) the spine of The Game appears to be a light blue whereas the version I have has the spine in silver/gray.

Yes, I saw that. Does this mean it will be $55 after the box comes out? I'll still order it at this price, but I hope for no more games by Amazon.

If so (and I think you're right), I think I had better ask even American vendors some very specific questions about where they buy from.

And any boxed set that suddenly shows up at "too good to be true" prices (with a lot of people selling them....) should set off alarm bells.

I hope not for the Imwaners who want this. I have had the British set for about a month & 1/2 and I'll tell you, they have blown me away.

Hi...crazy guy, here.

The Game is too high-endy and loud, as is A Day at the Races.

I'm now returning to the loony bin.

I don't hear that at all myself, especially The Game, but I am convinced we will never all hear anything the same. Now, physically I think we all can agree Freddie had a moustache-and it wasn't brickwalled.

I think Don is talking about the individual releases. Amazon USA still has the third box set listed for next week, but the albums aren't showing individually as domestic pressings. They can be purchased from Amazon UK, though.

Again, the Queen 40 Volume 3 box set from Amazon USA:

Or, the third round of 2-CD Deluxe Editions as individual titles from the UK:

It was, on occasion.

On another forum there was word that these versions are going to end up on SACD in Japan, which means they may end up as high-res downloads on HDTracks. Just a possibility, for those who might want to hold off buying on the chance that there will be high-res versions available once the CDs are all out.

A Night At The Opera, News Of The World, A Day At The Races and Sheer Heart Attack are listed for pre-order as SHM Single Layer Stereo SACD's from Universal/Japan for $59.99 each over at Acoustic Sounds.

Listening to Hot Space today and it sounds incredible...a very underrated album in the Queen catalog.
