Even though he himself is not necessarily a well known name, he helped launch the careers of many top Rock and Blues stars from the 1960s. I've owned a copy of this most of my adult life (US LP & UK CD) & I highly recommend it, especially for the couple pre-zep Robert Plant tracks.

I agree with Geff about those Robert Plant tracks. I was always amazed at how fully formed his vocal sound was a couple of years before he joined Zeppelin. I first heard them on a Plant bootleg that included even earlier songs as well as outtakes from his solo albums, and it made me buy an Alexis Korner compilation (not this one) which I really enjoyed.
