I did not get the boxset so this interests me-can anyone tell me what this is and how much of it from the boxset and original LP release?

I'm going to venture a guess that this is the DVD from Japanese TV included in the Budokan boxset and it's audio counterpart. This is not the same CD as either of the previous Budokan releases.

If this is the case, I will buy it. I didn't buy the boxset because I already had Budokan: The Complete Concert on CD. Not to mention the original At Budokan.

I got this today....my indy store had it.

It is the 4/28/78 CD/DVD part of the box set. I'm glad this came out, as I didn't buy the box set for the same reason.

Best of all, this comes in a regular plastic jewel case.....(I saw lots of complaints on Amazon about the box set packaging)

That's why I posted this and now I have my answer-count me in and screw the boxset!

Anyone else prefer the live "I Want You to Want Me" to the LP version? It's like KISS's "Rock & Roll All Nite" - when I hear the studio version on the radio, it just sounds weird!!

The live version rules.

Even Cheap Trick isn't that crazy about the original studio version. In the late nineties, they re-recorded the In Color album, but never released it.

It's amazing that the crowd has been shouting "Cry! Cry! Cry!" during the bridge almost since day 1.

I picked this up today. $17.99 at Newbury Comics. It's nice to have the DVD and the corresponding CD without having to buy stuff I've already bought.

If I get this and then buy separately the 2-CD "Cheap Trick At Budokan: The Complete Concert" will I then have everything that's in the 30th anniversary boxset?....(ie, without having to cope with the boxset's reported terrible packaging.)

Is that right or will I be overlapping?

Heads up: I just got mine from Amazon - sealed - and the DVD was missing. Be sure to check yours as soon as you get it.
