It's actually good to see some Axis material on a comp for once, but "A listed Valleys Of Neptune"???? I think not. :ohno:

Yet another compilation.
Surely they could promote one of the CDs that already contains 'Fire' rather than create another meaningless compilation.

Jimi Hendrix is one of those artists who is better appreciated from the original albums. They stand up today as landmark recordings and should be treated in this way.

There's always a market for compilations and as ardent, longtime, devoted Hendrixophiles IT AIN'T US. You can bet on one of these repackages every five years or so, for any legacy artist, as new rock'n'roll "generations" come up. Rather than slamming a product for which we are not the intended end-user anyway, we should be celebrating the fact that new fans still want to become engaged in Jimi's music. From the track choices and cover art this appears to be quite well done.

That's a very good point. I can think of several artists that I first got into via compilations, and from there started exploring their other releases.

If I didn't already own a Hendrix comp (or two), I would buy that one. That's an eye-catching cover.
