I care not if the haters hate. I love the King's music and find him amusing and talented. His band has always been aces. Plus, he's a deviled ham.

These albums are awesome and a few of them (Abagail and Them) are legendary in Metal history. This box looks very nice and it's only $20 on Amazon.

You lose the bonus cuts from the remasters and I think there's no booklet but this is still quite a price if you're curious. And if you're not, why are you reading this?

"Abigail" is worth $20 on it's own. IP mentioned "Abigail" and "Them," but all five of these albums are highly regarded in metal circles. I think if you were to poll fans of King Diamond, these five albums would be the rated as the five best in the catalog.

I so agree Joseph, and many Metal fans would. The musicianship and the creative storytelling make these albums so worthy and so much fun. "Abigail" is a masterpiece right down to the artwork. I assume these are the same remasters from the late 90's.

Joseph-did you ever get that "Abigail" CD/DVD combo release? I assume the DVD was not great quality. All the Roadrunner remasters I have are also the Gold CDs w/ bonus cuts although "The Eye" (love that album) had no bonus tracks if I recall.

If anyone was ever on the fence, this box is at a fantastic price.

They even have "Abigail" and "Them" sneakers now!

I have the CD/DVD combo but it's been a long time since I viewed the DVD. Just popped it in and watched the first couple songs and it definitely qualifies as bootleg quality - both video and audio. But the quality is good enough to make it an enjoyable watch. It seems to be a two camera mix and neither of the cameras are static, both zoom back-and-forth, in-and-out and give a good view of the stage set with some good closer shots of the band members. I'd actually go as far as saying it would be a great DVD release had it included the entire show but we only get 6 song (+ the "Funeral" intro). The concert portion runs 32 minutes. Then there are three promo videos included: "The Family Ghost," "Welcome Home," and "Sleepless Nights."

Note that Michael Denner was out of the band when the concert footage was shot. Michael Moon was the other guitar player.
