Looks really good.....I'm in. I've never seen film of him.

It will be strange hearing That Was The Year That Was chopped up.....that album needs to be heard as whole.

Looks good. Plenty of stuff I've never seen or heard before and the MSRP is quite reasonable for a 2-disc set, in my opiion. So far, I only have one Shout Factory release but I am sure this set will be well done.

My first introduction to Lehrer's music/humor happened about 15 years ago when I was asked to play drums for a show called "Tomfoolery" (which was a musical revue, featuring Lehrer's music.) His sense of humor is right up my alley.

I must admit that I didn't know he wrote some tunes for Electric Company.

I would have added a couple of things ("The Old Dope Peddler" and "My Home Town", probably...)

But I can't argue with what they put on.


The DVD, though! That makes this a must-have.

I really hope someone reissues "The Remains of Tom Lehrer," though. That's the one with all the albums and most of the stray tracks (singles, Electric Company tracks, new stuff).

I'm not expecting much from the Oslo portion of the DVD. It will be fun to see but I assume it will be a solo concert with one or two cameras. Regardless, it will make a nice addition to "Remains of Tom Lehrer." I saw "Tomfoolery" back in the '80s and loved it.

April looks good with this, the live Moby Grape and the re-vamped Ruben and the Jets (with the same day delivery shipping - that pulls it into April)...This would have been a very good week in the past - it now goes down as a great month.
