To be released on November 16, The Best of Bryan Ferry will be a two-disc CD/DVD package which will featuring all his familiar hits and the accompanying videos.

The 21-track CD features 19 singles, from 'A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall' and 'The In Crowd', through 'Slave To Love' and 'Don't Stop The Dance', to 'The Times They Are A Changin' from Ferry's 2007 album Dylanesque.

The exciting news for die-hard fans is that the album will feature two new tracks.

An accompanying DVD will contain 30 videos featuring classic live and TV performances to supplement the original promos. Artwork is by Alexandra Hoffnung.

The album is being released in time for Christmas, and should increase Bryan Ferry's profile in advance of his promised new album in March 2010.

Since 11/16 is a Monday, I get the unhappy feeling that this will not get a US release. Probably have to wind up ordering from Amazon.uk

I wonder if it will include "Help Me" (from the 80s remake of The Fly) and "Is Your Love Strong Enough" (from Legend). Both had accompanying videos that got played on MTV.

Yes, those songs are great, especially "Help Me" which has a creepy video. I only listed 11/16 as it is the first date given, but I'd assume it will be UK only-lately the DVDs from the UK have been playable in the States and I hope that is the case here.

The "Is Your Love Strong Enough" video was released in the states on the short-lived Bryan Ferry + Roxy Music Video Collection that came out around the time that the "More Than This" CD compilation was released (they had the same cover). I have it on VHS and on the later DVD that came out in '02. But whatever the tracks on the new compilation, I'll have to get it.

The video for "Is Your Love Strong Enough?" is also a bonus feature on the Legend "ultimate edition" DVD.

This really looks like a great package-I have changed the new date to 12-21 which is when it is now due. I believe the CD version is already out.

Okay..."Help Me" on the DVD, but not on the CD? UGH! IMHO, this is one of the best tracks he's ever done as a solo artist and with the exception of a compilation or two, it's been largely ignored.

Any idea if the DVD will be NTSC or PAL?
