I think the new album may be close to a million in sales. Not bad, but not a blockbuster either.
This reissue CAN be good. B sides and remixes exist. Not a big Whitney fan, but I do like her debut.

I'll probably wind up getting the new remaster and the old cd from the '80s, which I expect is a flat transfer. I need the new edition for the bonus tracks and the DVD. I think she is as great as Mariah Carey, and definitely more powerful. Hope to see her live in 2010!

As I recall, the original CD was one of the softest transfers I ever encountered -- of everything I own, it's one of the few I really have to crank up to get any volume level at all.

It was a great debut album but I lost interest in her after the marriage to Bobby Brown. I'd like to know more before committing to this reissue having the stock European cd.
