Product Description
2009 release containing a pair of albums from one of Funk's most progressive outfits: New Worlds (1978) and Getting In The Mood (1980). The band blends Soul, Funk, Jazz and Latin Music into a heady brew, creating some of the most outstanding funktastic sounds around. While these two albums lean more towards the Soul side of things, there's still enough Funk in there to satisfy the aficionados. 16 tracks.

New Worlds
1. Too Late (3:38)
2. Mean Streets (3:53)
3. Having A Love Attack (4:56)
4. Don't Stop (5:11)
5. Third World Girl (3:55)
6. Stay Tonite (5:34)
7. When You Smile (4:58)
8. It's So Easy Lovin' You (5:06)

Getting In The Mood
9. When You Shake (4:13)
10. My Kind Of Girl (My Girl (3:47)
11. Getting In The Mood (5:15)
12. Dance Of Love (5:05)
13. Feeling Good (3:06)
14. Love Made Me Over (4:52)
15. Lo Siento Mucho (5:21)
16. Coming Home (5:51)

I recommend this band if you like the band WAR. Never seen the above before, thought I owned everything by this great band.

I like their song "Fencewalk", Googa, seem to be a very tight band and talented musicians.

Will have to see if that one is on my Collectables box. I like "Ape is High".

It's definitely on there, it's on all of their GH packages, it has a nice Slave: "Slide"-like guitar solo, definite all-time funk classic.

I've got a two-cd Mercury Anthology (subtitle Ape Is High) somewhere. It's all tight funky stuff with a strong latino influence throw in,so like War Santana and even Eath Wind and Fire I would say.
