Product Description
Digitally remastered and expanded edition of the British New Wave/Power Pop quartet's 1979 debut album including three bonus tracks. The Sound Of Sunbathing contains radio hits 'Worlds Apart' and 'Take Me To Your Leader'. Extensive sleeve note by Sinceros webmaster and Power Pop expert Dan Silverman. The three bonus tracks include both sides of a non-album single and a rare live track recorded at My Father's Place, New York. Members of the Sinceros went on to play with the Teardrop Explodes, Squeeze, Nick Lowe and Van Morrison, so wide fan interest is anticipated. Cherry Red. 2009.

Good one! Different album cover than I remember, though.

I could swear I have a Christmas 45 by the Sinceros, from around the same time. That'd make some nifty bonus material.

That's the original UK cover art.

Is it possible you're thinking of a 12" promo? That sounds familiar. I liked this band back in the day, and they were pretty easy to collect at the time. ;)

That song "Walls, Floors And Ceilings" which the description refers to as a "rare live track" was the B-side of the American single of "Worlds Apart". It's a Sinceros original for which no studio version exists AFAIK. (And it's a pretty good song, too!)

I dunno, I'm getting a mental picture of a 45 w/pic sleeve that I bought on a shopping spree in Boston in the early 80s. I'll have to do some excavating in the dark recesses of the vinyl Archives.

This is the original album cover-my bass player had this album. Don Snow was the keyboardist-he went on to Squeeze and Procol Harum much later.
Pretty good stuff-kinda New Wavey.
But anything on Cherry Red I'd be very wary of-they have been quite shoddy in the past and recently-lots of needle drops.

This is the LP cover I have (must be the U.S. pressing as Linda mentioned):
