I know of three CD versions of this album available in US:

--the first one on Elektra
--the current one on 4AD
--the Mobile Fidelity SACD

I have the Elektra one and am disappointed with the sound. Specifically, the bass barely registers (especially compared with Surfer Rosa). I am pretty certain the MoFi corrects this.

My question is about the 4AD issue. When their versions came out, I heard that none of them were remastered. Does the 4AD sound like the Elektra?

Also: there was only one issue in the UK (on 4AD). How does that match up?

I've heard the same thing............they were NOT remastered. I've got the SACD of "Dolittle" and I've got the Mobile Fidelity issue of "Bossanova". M.
