Over on the Hoffman board, there was some argument over whether or not Rock Candy's recent reissue of Ted Nugent's [amazon]Double Live Gonzo[/amazon] used edited tracks in order to squeeze it onto a single disc.
Some have said that the two disc set on Epic times out at around 84 minutes.
Does anybody here know if the claims of edited tracks on the reissue are true??

Interestingly, Amazon's listing shows the Rock Candy reissue as a 2-disc set, but the Rock Candy website confirms a single-disc release.
Unfortunately, I can't answer the question at hand. Does anyone have the original release?

I think this reissue is out of print, so I guess we'll never know.
Just as well -- if I wanted this CD bad enough, the original, "unremastered" two disc set is so cheap these days, I could just buy that if I wanted to.

But banter like "this guitar is guaranteed to blow the balls off a charging rhino at 50 paces" is essential to the vibe.

How does the sound quality compare between the two?

I'd say the newer version's better[has a fuller richer sound imho].
