From Hawaii comes pure cane sugar, the Ukelele, the steel guitar, Steve McGarrett, Chin and Dan-o...oh!...and...Liz Damon's Orient Express!

Originally released in 1969, [title]Liz Damon's Orient Express[/title] is a masterpiece of loungepop/soul and the "NOW SOUND" which features not only their US smash hit ‘1900 Yesterday’, but a positively gorgeous version of ‘You’re Falling In Love’; massive on the Northern Soul scene (as is the version by Betty Everett trivia fans!). There’s an absolute raft of other Now Sound classics, and also a cracking softpop rendition of ‘Bring Me Sunshine’, the song with which Eric & Ernie closed many a classic "Morecambe and Wise" show in the 60's and 70's...(though here not orchestrated by Andre Preview, sadly) Superb!

Soft-pop / soul for Hawaiian luaus attended by the 'beautiful people'; something of a bookend to our phenomenal release by the Forum (CRREV14). "Liz Damon's Orient Express" includes several bonus tracks, rare photos and an extensive interview with the lovely Liz Damon herself! How can you refuse!!

This legendary rare album has been meticulously remastered in the usual Rev-Ola style and has copious notes, interviews with the lovely Liz, and rare photos in a lavish design extravaganza!

1. 1900 Yesterday
2. Something
3. But For Love
4. You Make Me Feel Like Someone
5. Bring Me Sunshine
6. You're Falling In Love
7. Everything Is Beautiful
8. That Same Old Feeling
9. Close To You
10. Let It Be
11. Heaven In My Heart
12. Quando Quando Quando
13. Canadian Sunset
14. Wave
15. Danny Boy

I have this album, along with the same five bonus tracks, reissued in Japan as a Mini-LP in 2006. I'll still get this for the photos and interview.

It'd be nice to have her cover of Bacharach-David's "Me Japanese Boy" on CD sometime...
