I bet the old Rhino is long OOP.

I have both the Rhino CD and a comp from Varese as well. There's a lot of overlap, but each has several charting singles not on the other. See below.

I usually trust Shout Factory, but 24 tracks on 2 CDs sounds skimpy. I wonder if it'll include original recordings.

Freddy owns all his own masters, so I don't see why there'd be any re-recordings involved.

And I agree that 24 cuts is very skimpy.

Bump: added pre-order details to the first post. Amazon is currently showing this as one disc, not two, and the tracklist certainly seems like it could all fit on one CD.

That's more like it! In fact, the posted track list exactly parallels Cannon's chart history, with every one of his Hot 100 entries, in order. Includes "Let's Put the Fun Back in Rock 'n Roll" which was a minor comeback in the early 80s.

Picked this up as a download (sacrilege!) on eMusic - not a re-record in the batch! Tracks 1-19 are in mono, rest in stereo.
