For those fans of Barry Manilow who sporadically pop up 'round these here parts, here's a heads-up on the reissue of his 1985 long out-of-print album MANILOW, his only release on RCA Records. The original CD pressing of this album has been commanding ludicrous prices on Ebay for ages now (sometimes in three figures!) but it's available on qvc.com as the bonus disc for anyone who purchases Manilow's new GREATEST SONGS OF THE EIGHTIES; all told after shipping, the two discs come out to $25 or so. Not a bad deal, especially since the MANILOW album is pretty good, with the original version of "Sweet Heaven" and a number of strong pop songs. From the pictures online, the reissue looks as if it was intended for regular retail (and perhaps will wind up there someday), with the Legacy logo & new, full packaging. Don't know if it's been remastered or not. Just thought some here might be interested!
