After The Weeds signed to UNI Records, their new manager, the infamous "Lord" Tim Hudson, insisted they change their name to The Lollipop Shoppe to fit in with the current trend of bizarrely named bubblegum groups. The band's actual recordings are hardly bubblegum, but instead a mix of crunching garage rock and wild psychedelia.
