SpinCDs is showing that a 6-CD box set of Jack Bruce called Can You Follow is coming out on June 2nd while CDU is listing it as June 17th. There are going to be cuts from his time with Rocket 88 with Charlie Watts and Ian Stewart on this as well as mono mixes of Cream material.

How much of this is previously unreleased?

Jack Bruce: Truly one of the bravest writers, capable musicians and soulful vocalists of a generation. Any serious lover of music would be doing themselves a great favor by picking this one up.

Check the first post for updated details now, Geff, it shows which tracks have never been released on CD before (at least in the UK).

The release situation for this box is a little confusing. It appears that the Esoteric label will be releasing this here in the States as an export edition on July 29th, BUT, the UK pressing is due out either this Tuesday or next (Amazon USA says June 16th, Amazon UK says June 23rd) and that import is actually priced lower right now than the allegedly forthcoming domestic version. So this is one of those rare occasions where the import is not only coming out sooner but is also cheaper ...

Well I ordered this from the UK on Monday, received it on Friday, can you believe it?

And what a set!!! Excellent sound quality and surprises through out. Example, on Eric Clapton and the PowerHouse set none other than a very young Steve Winwood noted as Steve Anglo is the singer, a 1966 release.I never knew about.

The Cream mono tracks are both powerful and clean. The West, Bruce and Lang tracks, especially my personal fave, "Out in the Fields" is majestic.The jazz tracks with Manfred Mann are also of a welcomed surprise. And tonite I am getting to the Trower tracks and "BBM", wonderful one-off album with Gary Moore and Ginger.

What a beautiful, bountiful retrospective this is. Worth every penny! Headfone is exactly right, you need this!
