Amazon.co.uk is showing March 3 as the UK release date for a two-fer of Lulu's To Sir With Love and It's Lulu on Wounded Bird. Amazon.com shows no listing, but the Wounded Bird Web site also shows it as an imminent release. Perhaps the US date is March 4?
Per WB: "This two-fer features that album (To Sir With Love), linked up with It's Lulu, which is making its worldwide CD debut here. Also contains six bonus tracks!"
Neither Web site provides a track listing at this point, but who cares... if it's Lulu, I gotta have it.

Amazon USA does list it, David. It's showing as an April 8th release on Wounded Bird:

Both of these albums are mutilations of original UK releases, BTW. On the original vinyl pressings, the American versions mixed up the track orders and flip-flopped between stereo and mono mixes. [lilred]To Sir With Love[/lilred] roughly corresponded to the UK's Love Loves To Love Lulu, and [lilred]It's Lulu[/lilred] was a rip of the UK's Lulu's Album. We'll have to see what Wounded Bird does with these. There were a few non-LP single sides from that period which could be tacked on ...

I've seen this in a couple places already, so I guess it's showing up early...

I didn't pick it up, though, since I own the Complete Mickie Most Recordings 2-disc set...anybody know if this release should contain mixes exclusive to it? (That would be enough to get me to buy it -- so many great songs and great performances!!)

Thanks!

Thanks for the tip on DustyGrooves. Not familiar with them, but will give them a shot on the new Swing Out Sister release. Their Web site does indeed have a listing up for the Lulu twofer, which turns out to not be so exciting after all. The bonus tracks are single versions of "Dreary Days & Nights", "Me The Peaceful Heart", "Look Out", "Boy", "Sad Memories" and "I'm A Tiger."

Hopefully what they mean by "single versions" are the proper hard mono mixes. There are no "album versions" of these tracks per se, but they've appeared in thin-sounding stereo on just about every Lulu comp released to date.
