Pause and Play is reporting that Gimme Some Neck from Ronnie Wood is being reissued on April 1st. This one has me really intrigued because I'm hoping that it's a new mastering/mix. Like I said for the David Essex album in the other thread, I don't know if this one is going to be a new remastering or just a repackage job.

This one, the David Essex album and about a zillion other titles are being put out by Sony/BMG as budget reissues on April 1st. The solicitation details listed no remastering, no special packaging, no nothin'. (It all sounded so bad I wasn't even going to list any of them here at ICE, TBH. ) It might be a good way to get a bunch of out of print titles cheaply, but as things stand right now we probably shouldn't expect more than straight reissues with basic packaging.

In the meantime, I had to cough up major bucks for a Japanese mini-lp of Ronnie's 1234, becuase it's never been issued on CD in the US.
