These two titles have been OOP in the US for a while, as have most the CT's 80s albums. I just wonder if Sony/Legacy will release these here as part of their own reissue campaign.

I hope so. There's gotta be more bonus songs they can add then those previously released on here.

This is big news to me! I know that these are far from the mighty CT's best albums but I've been waiting for the entire catalogue to get remastered and have been wondering when the next stage would happen.

I'll pass on the imports though and hopefully domestic releases will happen before too long.

But this is still a positive step in the right direction!

I hope Epic/Legacy will continue the catalogue but I doubt it. I hate 2-fers and I won't order these, but I might have to if Epic/Legacy doesn't get a clue.
I've been waiting forever for the next Santana, Kansas and Psychedelic Furs remasters and it's never gonna happen.
Epic/Legacy actually did remaster "Next Position Please" as an internet-only download which I refused to do-did anyone and what were the bonus tracks?

The title refers to the fact that the 13 tracks intended for the original album were restored and sequenced according to the band's wishes, while "You Say Jump" and "Dancing the Night Away" were put at the end as "bonus tracks" along with another outtake from the era, "Don't Hit Me With Love." I mentioned the idea of a collection of their soundtrack songs to Tom Petterson once and he seemed genuinely confused as to why anybody would want such a thing.

"Up The Creek" is cool cause Zander is in top vocal form and the little Yardbirds guitar quote is very cool.
The two songs on the "HEAVY METAL" soundtrack are great plus there's all the "ROCK N RULE" stuff....

Does this reissue restore the original running orders of these albums? If so, I may get it. I didn't plan on buying past the remasters from the classic era, but a twofer might entice me if the quality's good.

I have a CT rarities collection from a one-time ICE member that is pretty comprehensive so I don't need to wait for remasters with bonus tracks from Epic/Legacy that may never happen.

BTW, Amazon now lists this as having a 10/30/2007 release date, which might explain why I haven't come across it at Newbury Comics as of yet. For a reasonable price, I might be interested in this.

I have had the disc for about a month now. Its two discs and does include the bonus tracks!

That's cool. I thought $26 was pricey for what I thought was a "twofer" CD, but two discs. Ahhh!! That explains it. I'll have to get it at some point.

Sony really needs to do the rest of CT's catalog , along with Ted Nugent and Blue Oyster Cult .

...and Earth Wind & Fire, and REO Speedwagon, and Bob Dylan....
