Hopefully this set includes the original versions.

Fortunately it has my favourite Christmas song of all time, "Driving Home for Christmas." I'm sure Walter knows what I'm talking about.

Rea also rerecorded "Driving Home for Christmas." The original is the better one, if ya ask me.

The Pogues did a version of "Honky Tonk Women" which may be my favorite Stones cover. Didn't make this comp.

The price for these seems reasonable for 3-CD imports. I think they borrowed the idea from those 3-disc EMI Platinum collections.

Like the Pogues collection mentioned above, this Fleetwood Mac comp was pulled off the schedule and hasn't been seen since. It was going to be a collection from their WEA years covering the Kirwan/Welch era through today.

I picked up the Bread set and couldn't be disappointed with the track listing and fairly generous number of tracks spread across the 3 discs, but the packaging for THE WORKS was skimpy by Rhino standards -- bare-bones discographical information, no notes at all, etc. I guess something had to be lost to keep this series to a budget price (and for sheer value, this series beats Rhino US' THE DEFINITIVE...) but a little more Rhino-style care in the booklet would have been appreciated, natch!

I picked up The Monkees and Everly Brothers titles. As JMarch stated above, the packaging is extremely skimpy, but with the Monkees title they don't even use the latest remasters from the tracks selected off of the first 4 albums. I have nothing to compare the Everly's title with.

As far as songs-per-dollar, not a bad deal (especially for a UK-import), but proably not essential to anybody who may already have complete collections.
