Sorry there isn't much more info about the package to report other than the subject heading. I had originally contacted Hip-O Select to find out if they would be continuing the dormant "Lost And Found" series anytime in the near future. This was the formal response that was sent back:


We offer our apologies for the delay in release of The Supremes Lost And
Found title, we expect it out next year at the end of January/Early Feb.
Next year will send a flood of Motown releases, please stay tuned!

I now understand that the release is still on their schedule, but will NOT fall under the "Lost And Found" series, but be a separate title unto itself entitled "Let The Music Play." No matter in what form it appears - the unreleased tracks in the vaults on the "true" Supremes (yes, with the skinny one up front) is immense and legendary; a 12-CD box set wouldn't even begin to scratch the surface. It's been a long time comin'... open the floodgates!

A follow-up call didn't reveal much more, other than they mentioned it would definitely include a unreleased 3rd version of "Love Child" and the song "I Can't Give Back The Love I Feel For You" (a song that was covered by many Motown artists, including Diana Ross on her third solo release in 1971). Hopefully they'll stray from alternative mixes/versions because there's a wealth of completed masters that have never seen the light of day anywhere. Good timing too, since Diana Ross just received the Kennedy Honour. I'm certain most of us receive e-mails from Hip-O when new CD's are released, so stay tuned for this great news!

Wonder if the "flood" will also include a Volume 2 of 70's Supremes?

Thanks for the heads-up on The Supremes' "Let The Music Play" collection. I've been waiting a long time for a 'Lost And Found' set for them and I'm so happy to hear that it's coming soon. Also, Hip-O Select has just issued 'The Complete Motown Singles-1969'.
