Very cool news about one of the 90s best albums in my opinion. Awesome bonus tracks too-the covers of "Down In The Park" and "Baker Street" frickin' rule-how cool for Grohl to cover Gary Numan, Killing Joke and Gerry Rafferty! Could do without the Vanity 6 cover-but hey, it's funny.
I assume this is remastered? And, did they do the debut as well for it's 10th anniversary?

From Billboard.com:
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of its sophomore album, "The Colour and the Shape," Foo Fighters will release an expanded edition of the project July 10 via Legacy/RCA.

In addition to the original album on its first disc, the new version will feature covers of Killing Joke's "Requiem," Gary Numan's "Down in the Park" and Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street," plus the B-sides "Drive Me Wild," "Dear Lover" and "The Colour and the Shape."

"The Colour and the Shape" remains arguably the band's most popular album, having spawned the Modern Rock evergreens "Everlong" (No. 3), "My Hero" (No. 6), "Monkey Wrench" (No. 9) and "Walking After You" (No. 12). It was the band's lone studio album to feature drummer William Goldsmith, who was replaced by Taylor Hawkins for the Foos' next effort, 1999's "There Is Nothing Left To Lose."

As previously reported, the band is back in the studio with "Colour" producer Gil Norton for the follow-up to 2005's "Skin and Bones." The Dave Grohl-led group will take a break from recording to play a few shows this summer, including a June 23 opening slot for the Police in Los Angeles and July 7 at Live Earth in London.

A couple of years ago,I bought a copy of the "Low" DVD/EP single with the risque video featuring Jack Black and Dave Grohl as macho redneck truckers that meet at a cheap hotel and frolick around around a room drunk in their underwear. The DVD also contained the American video version for "Times Like These" as well as the different UK video version of the song, and an an in studio acoustic video version. Also on the disc is a promo for remastered versions of "FOO FIGHTERS","THERE IS NOTING LEFT TO LOSE" and "THE COLOUR AND THE SHAPE" that are to contain bonus tracks. The promo said that they were to be released in 2004 but they never came out.Maybe they are going to finally release them one at a time. The Foos have a ton of non-album singles out there.

Did anybody else get this? My booklet inside the first and last page are cut off and you cannot read all of the song titles or the album credits. Quality Control at it's finest once again. I see a Legacy logo so now I have to get in touch with Sony...Fun Fun Fun
