Description
“Waiting for a Miracle” is the debut studio album by the English post-punk band The Comsat Angels, released in 1980. This record is considered a landmark in the post-punk and new wave genres, showcasing the band’s atmospheric and moody sound that blends sharp guitar work, melodic basslines, and introspective lyrics with a sense of emotional depth.

The Comsat Angels’ sound on this album is often compared to contemporaries such as Joy Division and Echo & The Bunnymen, but it possesses a unique, melancholic edge. The album includes the original version of “Independence Day,” which is darker and rawer than the more polished and slightly pop-oriented re-recording featured on their 1983 album “Land”.

3. Independence Day
4. Waiting For A Miracle
