The above is an audio-only soundtrack release, featuring only the songs that were included in the concert film.

Several years ago there was a 2CD/1DVD package which had the audio for all the songs that were performed at the concert:

And before that, there was an import-only (but region-free) Blu-ray of the film:

The new triple vinyl release (also on AmazWan) supposedly has all 22 songs.
I ordered that, as I have the prior full CD set from a few years back.

I was lucky to see Supertramp the first time they played Madison Square Garden during their immense success of Breakfast In America. Still in awe of that show (like my feelings of seeing Genesis there in 1978).

So this live album was played a lot on my stereo in Queens NY. Had the cassette too.

Saw them on Roger's last tour with them in '83. Damn good show. A true group of musicians. Roger and Rick got all the spotlight but the other are excellent musicians, especially their drummer Bob.

One of the what if groups. What if they didn’t hate each other and did another tour even later than ‘83? They remain a radio staple and could have made Mundo $$$ in today’s environment. I have seen Roger solo and he puts on a nice show, rarely plays around here though.
Shockingly last Summer Rick played a very small solo gig out in the Hamptons that somehow I did not hear about.

Hi, All

This is confusing for me, the article below is from Secondisc.com, the 2 CD track listing is different from what amazon is saying on there web site.
Does anyone know who is right?

With the release of 1979's Breakfast in America, Supertramp ascended to superstar status. The U.K. group's sixth studio album, Breakfast was one of the year's best-selling albums. It yielded four international hits with "The Logical Song" (No. 6 U.S./No. 7 U.K.), "Take the Long Way Home" (No. 10 U.S.), "Goodbye Stranger" (No. 15 U.S./No. 57 U.K.) and "Breakfast in America" (No. 62 U.S./No. 9 U.K.). The LP won two Grammy Awards and was certified quadruple Platinum in the United States where it stayed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for six weeks. Naturally, the band toured extensively behind the album, and now, their full 1979 set in Paris is about to see reissue from Mercury Studios.

Tomorrow, February 28, Live in Paris '79 will arrive on 2 CDs or 3 LPs, preserving a full setlist from primary songwriters Roger Hodgson (vocals/guitar/keyboards) and Rick Davies (vocals/keyboards) with John Helliwell (vocals/woodwinds/keyboards), Dougie Thompson (bass), and Bob Siebenberg (drums). This album was previously released in 2015 on CD following a 2012 DVD and Blu-ray release of the video. The 2025 edition is the set's official vinyl debut.

Live in Paris '79 was drawn from the band's concerts of December 1 and 2, 1979 at the 8,000-capacity Pavilion de Paris, whereas the 1980 double album simply titled Paris was primarily drawn from the November 29 show there. The complete concert was composited from the two performances and features 22 songs, as opposed to just 16 on Paris. The hit "Goodbye Stranger" is among the songs heard here that are not featured on the 1980 album; others include "Child of Vision," "Even in the Quietest Moments," "Downstream," "Another Man's Woman," and the U.S./U.K. hit "Give a Little Bit." Unlike Paris, which had to shuffle the song order in order to accommodate the running time of vinyl, the concert is presented here in its original sequence.

Surprisingly for Mercury Studios, known for its multi-format releases, the video component is not part of this campaign. Look for Live in Paris '79 tomorrow, February 28. You'll find the track listing and pre-order links below. As an Amazon affiliate, we earn from qualifying purchases.

What annoys me even more is that they had a chance to do a small reunion run. Roger poo-pooed that. I like Roger and his music, but this is another case of Sum Of The Parts...... neither Supertramp nor Roger were very successful without one another.

Not at all. They left so much $$$ on the table. Guess The Police and The Talking Heads are like that too. You can’t have enough mansions and Lear jets. :)

The tracklist with 11 songs on each disc is the correct one for this release. The tracklist originally posted at the top of this thread is actually from the previous Paris 2CD release.
